Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is a time to gather together with family and friends as we celebrate the arrival of Jesus Christ.

Christmas Eve @ Watlon United Church, Oakville, Ontario

4:00 pm Kids Storytellers Service

The 4:00pm service is for all the young ones, and those young at heart. This is a shorter 30-minute service with music, and a skit which conveys the Christmas story with baby Jesus being present. The children are welcome to come forward to see the Christ child, just as the shepherds and wise men did many, many years ago. Active participation for the children.

5:00 and 6:30 pm Family Services

The 5:00pm and 6:30pm Family services is a time to gather together as family and friends to worship the birth of the Christ Child. Christmas carols, solos, choirs, special readings add to the celebration of this special time. All ages are welcome and encouraged to join together to worship Christ’s holy birth.

10:00 pm – Candlelight Service

The 10:00pm Candlelight Service service is a quiet, meditative service, with scriptures, carols and holy communion. The Sanctuary is bathed in candlelight, and the hope, peace joy and love of this special season is felt in this special time of thanksgiving and worship of the Christ Child.
