Prayerful Pause

Prayerful Pause - Good Friday @ Walton United Church, Oakville, OntarioAn invitation to “Come, sit at the Feet of Jesus.” A time of Prayerful Pause will take place on Good Friday April 14th, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. in the Walton Sanctuary. A time to come into the Sanctuary and just be, just rest in the Lord.  Come for a few moments, come for a longer time, come as you are called, for it is the Lord who invites us.  The Church and the Sanctuary will be open noon to 5:00 p.m., there will always be a member of the organizing committee in the Church during this time.

All are welcome to take part in this opportunity for quiet prayer, Bible reading, reflection, a time of just being, however you would like to spend this time. There is no wrong way to spend time with God. When we pray, when we invite God into our lives, and share the deepest parts of our hearts with God, it is less important how we say it or how we do it, than the fact that we made time for the conversation. All are welcome.

Pancake Supper @ Walton United Church, Oakville, OntarioA happy, happy THANK YOU from your Outreach Committee: Once again, our heartiest thanks go out to our congregation and our community for turning out with such enthusiasm to the Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 28th, 2017. It felt like everyone needed a night out and wanted to support our cause and many of you also came to attend the Services. Bronte Hall was full to capacity with happy families, old friends and new friends, all enjoying good fellowship. We will donate the proceeds of your generous contributions from the Free Will Offering to Ian Anderson House, the hospice in Oakville, and a Burlington Hospice. Our dinners would not be nearly so exciting without your contributions of treats and goodies and we thank you for bringing us such a wonderful selection. Our outreach projects are only possible through your enthusiastic support – there are no new words to say to you just “thank you all so much from all of us”. Out Of Our Abundance, O Lord.
