THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2017!
We will depart from Walton at 10:00 am and travel by coach bus to the beautiful Town of PORT DOVER on the north shore of Lake Erie. Return to Walton will be around 5:30 pm.
Our first stop will be the Erie Beach Hotel Restaurant for their famous pickerel ‘Fish & Chips’ luncheon, consisting of four types of salad, homemade celery bread and raspberry sherbet. If you are not a fish lover, boneless chicken breast or vegetarian pasta can be substituted with advance notice.
Following lunch, we will board the bus again for a very short drive to the Lighthouse Festival Theatre to see a new comedy called “FIVE ALARM”. For sixteen years, Ava Rose has tried (and failed) to win her small town Chili Cook Off. Hopefuls from all over compete for the prestige and cash while she competes in honour of her father’s memory. If she can piece together her father’s missing Five Alarm chili recipe and keep her new assistant from maiming herself, she has a chance to take home the trophy.
The all-inclusive cost is $83 per person. This covers the bus, lunch, theatre ticket and gratuities. As usual, space is limited on the bus, so please sign up ASAP with payment in the Church office.
