*Registration Required*

Are you a woman in their 30s, 40s, or 50s? Then you are a Fruit of the Vine!

Hurry!! Hurry!! Hard!!!!

Fruit of the Vine is taking to the ice on Saturday, November 25th at the Oakville Curling Club from 11:30 to 2:30pm. We’ll be on the ice for about 2 hours, after which we’ll enjoy some time getting warm upstairs in the club house and socializing together.”

Common Questions:

“I’ve never curled before; I don’t think I’d be any good at it”– Not to worry! This event is for all curling abilities, even if it’s the first time you’ve stepped on the ice. We’ll have an instructor present who will help us all to learn the basics of throwing the rock and how to sweep.

“I don’t have any equipment”– All you need is a pair of stretchy pants, some warm upper layers, and a pair of running shoes (Not street shoes please). The club has everything else you need. Oh, a pair of gloves and a hat are a good idea if you get cold.

“I’m not really athletic”- While you may work up a bit of a sweat sweeping, you don’t need to be super fit to curl as a beginner. If you are comfortable standing for a period of time (there are benches in the arena, but we are on our feet for the most part) and can comfortably lunge forward without too much difficulty, you should be fine.

“I want to be part of the event, but I’m injured at the moment or not sure I can handle the physical aspect of the game” – Talk to Wendy, Gill, Steph, or Julie.

After our time on the ice, we’ll have the opportunity to relax in the warm, comfortable lounge overlooking the ice. The Oakville Curling Club had a well-stocked cash bar on site. Debit, Credit, and Cash are accepted.

Note: There is parking in front and in behind the Curling Club which is located north of Lakeshore and east of Trafalgar.

We hope you’ll join us!

Cost: $20
