VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Wesley Day Centre Dinner

On Sunday July 26, 2015, the Walton Outreach Committee and friends will be going to Hamilton to serve Sunday Dinner at the Wesley Day Centre on Ferguson Street. This will involve meals for approximately 250 people. Each year, Wesley Centre serves 13,000 meals for Sunday Dinners. We arrive at 2:00 p.m. – dinner is served between 4 and 5 p.m. Clean up is completed by 6:00 p.m. We are in need of about 8 more helpers – would you like to join us? Volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years of age –each youth must volunteer with a guardian. What is involved: food prep, cooking, serving, table clearing, kitchen clean up; and compassionate listening and conversation – volunteers are asked not to share personal stories. Wesley provides aprons and hairnets. You must wear closed-toe shoes and a hat (or hairnet). PARISH NURSE  – Summer Hours

WALTON’S NEW PHOTO DIRECTORY

SIGN UP BEGINNING JUNE 21, 2015  – Volunteers will be in Bronte Hall on Sunday, June 21st after the service (and every following Sunday) to book your family’s photography appointment for the new directory.

The first round of photography sessions will take place from Monday, August 24 to Thursday, August 27 – 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The summer dates are great for families with university students or for those who get too busy in the fall.   Everyone is welcome to participate, even your pets!
