Weddings

We see people as unique, loved creations of God and welcome all people to the full life of Christian community, including marriage. We believe God intends loving relationships to be faithful, responsible, just, healing and sustaining of the couple and those around them, and that such relationships require preparation and nurture.

If you would like to be married at Walton, please see our Wedding pages for more information.

Baptisms

Baptism is a symbolic action that signifies the new life God gives us as we join the church community. Click here for more information about Baptisms at Walton.

Celebration of Life & Funerals

Our minister and pastoral care team can help you find the support and care that you need during your time of loss and transition. We welcome you for Funerals, Memorial Services and Celebration of Life Services.

The building also has excellent Reception facilities on site with lots of free off-street parking.

Alternatively, you can arrange to have the Service at your own location, whether at a funeral home, cemetery or some other venue. Please contact the office at 905-827-1643.

Confirmation

A person who has been previously baptised becomes a confirmed member of Walton United by making a public profession of faith after a course of study and being confirmed through a public service of worship called confirmation.

Our next Confirmation class will be in 2023. Click here for details.

Walton welcomes you to contact us about Baptisms / Christenings.

Baptism Rev JimYou do not need to be a member. All we ask is that you attend a Baptismal/Christening information session, whether that is in person, on zoom, or by phone, this time is similar to a wedding rehearsal, to prepare for the Baptism / Christening of your child/children.

The Walton congregation would be delighted if you choose to have your child/children Baptised/Christened at Walton. Baptisms/Christenings are held privately in our air-conditioned sanctuary.

The following information will be very helpful in preparing for the Sacrament of Baptism/Christening:

• Washrooms are located in the hallway, just prior to entering the Bronte Hall, or across from the Nursery room on the lower level.
• A change table is located in the Wheel Chair Accessible Family Washroom on the ground floor near the offices.
