Widening Welcome - Open & Inclusive

Everyone at Walton is widening the welcome!
Walton is dismantling barriers to be open and inclusive.

Rainbow Flag representing Pride 2SLGBTQ+Each of us can welcome others and help them feel included. Imagine yourself visiting another church. You wouldn’t know the people or the routines and might feel awkward. Take the initiative and introduce yourself to someone you haven’t chatted with before.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 2:28

Inclusiveness is about treating everyone with respect and dignity. Look beyond any differences and see the person! We are all God’s children.

“Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.”
Romans 5:7

Church is a place of community, hospitality and spiritual growth. Let’s try to be welcoming and open to all regardless of race, sexual orientation, physical disability, or mental well-being.

”By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” ~ John 13:35

What does the Bible say about inclusion?

“Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honourable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.”  ~ Romans 12: 15-18

Let us live in peace with one another!
