Impossible
Luke 1:36-37 The angel Gabriel tells Mary about Elizabeth
And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.”

Nothing will be impossible with God. Nothing. The immensity of that short sentence is worth repeating. Pause and let the majesty of that one phrase settle deep in your heart. Nothing will be impossible with God. Except all too often, in our lives, we cast ourselves in the role of God and believe that we have all the ideas and need to make all the plans. Then we assume the burden of finding all the answers, and let despair and frustration run riot when life doesn’t align with our predetermined views. The words of the angel Gabriel come as a gentle and yet powerful reminder that this is God’s role not ours. For nothing will be impossible with God.
