Signs

We rely so much on signs and indicators in our lives – time, temperature, navigation – and yet we are too often reluctant to acknowledge the signs of God at work, with blessings dismissed as coincidences, insights attributed to our own thoughts or talent. The Christmas story is filled with people who trusted God to fulfil His promises and accepted the presence of God in their lives. As we progress towards Christmas, contemplating the signs shared in the Old and New Testaments, this is also a time to seek out the signs of God we can see in our world.
Loving God, guide me on this journey through Advent. Open my heart and mind to the signs of Your peace and Your love in my life today. Make me aware of Your presence in this world and draw me closer to You. Amen.
Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Look, the young woman is with child and shall bear a son, and shall name him Immanuel.
Thank you for joining us on this prayerful path through Advent.
Blessings and best wishes for 2018.
