Interfaith Taize Prayer

Experience prayer, music and contemplative silence at our interfaith Taize service

The Taize worship style reflects the desire to be present before God in stillness and openness. Prayer chants are sung – usually lines from Psalms or other Scripture – in simple, melodic, repeated refrains, designed to deepen a contemplative experience of God’s presence. Times of silence between chants allow for listening acutely for the word of God. One may sing the words as prayer, let the music create a sacred space for contemplation or reflect on the words of scripture as teaching.

You are welcome to experience this sacred time, drawing close to God.
